The Studio Table with Pomegranate and Brushes, Tamara Jare, oil on canvas
In this lively oil on canvas painting, I invite you directly into my creative sanctuary. Moving beyond traditional, static still life arrangements, this piece is an expressionistic celebration of the objects that ground and inspire my daily practice. It explores the themes of creative solitude and the vibrant energy inherent in ordinary things. Available trough Singulart.
The composition is a rich tapestry of form, texture, and light. Laid across a dark table, an abundance of nature’s forms takes center stage—a deeply textured red pomegranate, a luminous green pear, an orange, and scattered figs and apples. This organic wealth is flanked by two distinct vessels: a sleek, deep blue vase on the left and an ornate green-and-white patterned jar on the right, which proudly holds a bouquet of my studio paintbrushes. Behind this arrangement sits a large, golden-yellow frame. Rather than containing a traditional canvas, it acts like a window, opening up the background to an airy field of sky-blue and white lace.
